Cartoon Stamp Collection

This is a neat little Napoleon find. A children's stamp and colouring book.
My copy was never used...but I have a few pencil marks on the inside so clearly the book was in the hands of a child at some point.

What I like is how easy it is to spot cartoons that are almost identical to the paintings they are copied from. Napoleon imagery is so iconic to me that I would know that an image was Napoleon from a distance.

I love the cartoon version of Napoleon in his study with his son.

And who could ever miss this shape as Napoleon's tomb in Paris?

Wow! I love the Roi de Rome thing, everyone was so hard on the lil' King that he never got a chance. He was too young & weak to stand up to be a proper Eagle like Dad. Even I would have made a better Eaglet...
Did you say anything ages ago about Marie Louise never being anywhere near her son, and Napoleon being his best friend? They're not alike at all. If you can find it, on the Napoleon Series website and there's an article on the Eaglet.

I think it's really good. Tell me what you think...
I saw a pic of the Return from Elba and did you see the man hugging Napoleon's leg and everyone throwing their shako-hats around and screaming like Jesus Christ has landed or something? Well that man hugging Nap's leg is me. Except I'm a girl. Oh well, I dressed up.
